We are extremely pleased and excited to present Jonathon Gillespie as our new Executive Chef. He and His family have been longing to return to the Elk River Valley since leaving Vista Verde Guest Ranch ten years ago. Most recently he has been Executive Chef and managing multi – location food and beverage operations on behalf of Arcis Golf, The Pinery Country club, and the Club at Pradera in Parker, Colorado. Prior to that, he served a five-year stint as Executive Chef at the Waterfall Club in Georgia, and a year at the Swag Country Inn and Balsam Mountain Preserve, both in North Carolina.
Jonathon brings an exceptional record of creating an atmosphere of fine dining and service, extensive wine knowledge, and a unique understanding of the idiosyncrasies inherent in the operation of a high-quality guest ranch.
In turn we say goodbye to Executive Chef Craig Singer, who has been at The Home Ranch for seven plus years. During his tenure the food and wine program have been elevated yearly and always exceed the expectations of our guests and met the high standards required by a Relais and Chateaux property.
Craig will be assuming the role of Executive Chef at Owen Roe Winery in Yakima, Washington. He has a great opportunity to be on the ground floor as the vineyard implements a new restaurant and lodging component to their business.
Jonathon is feeling comfortable and is up to the task and we are confident that our guest will continue to regard meal times as a favorite part of their experience at The Home Ranch.
