Our staff is beginning to arrive at the ranch this week. It is so much fun to meet them all and get the ranch ready for the winter.  Christmas lights are going up on the buildings, furniture is being moved around in the living room to make way for the tree and decorations, trail signs are being sprinkled around the meadows to direct guests on their winter adventures and the fishing hut is transforming into the skiing hut.  While we still have two weeks until we welcome our first guests, the ranch is at full speed.

Backcountry Skiing

It’s been a great off season full of relaxation, planning and projects. The maintenance crew has added new lights along the lane to the cabins and barn. The wranglers have set up a leather shop in the Rec. Room to make sure the saddles are in top condition for next summer.  The kitchen is trying out some new recipes for the winter season. Housekeeping is putting final touches on staff housing.

We’re looking forward having many familiar faces back with us this winter. Mike, Mark and Lizzie will be back taking guests on skiing and snowshoeing adventures.  Craig, Dave, Douglas and Marcus will be creating delicious meals and desserts for us.   Adele will be busy taking care of the chickens and preparing for the planting this spring. Michael & Clay, with the help of Jack & Jim and the guests, are excited to start feeding the horses with the sleigh. Maggie has a great crew to help her keep the cabins and lodge pristine. Chad and Erik will spend the winter keeping the driveways clear and the trails groomed with our NEW groomer!

Clyde and I are looking forward to welcoming back many familiar guests this season and getting to know many new folks. It is going to be the best winter!
