Travel to our Luxury Dude Ranch in Colorado

Arriving in Denver

The great weather of summer gives you several options to get to our luxury dude ranch – assuming you fly into Denver. Some of our ranch guests prefer to fly into Denver on Friday night or Saturday – before their Sunday arrival at the ranch – to explore Denver or Steamboat and help them acclimate to the elevation. Guests that arrive in Steamboat on Friday or Saturday often watch the rodeo in Steamboat which is held most weekends during the summer in downtown Steamboat.

Flying Direct to Hayden (HDN)

The fastest way to get here is to fly into the Hayden Airport (HDN) – outside of Steamboat Springs- which is about 45 – 50 minutes from our luxury Colorado dude ranch. If you fly into HDN, we offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport and will pick you up when you arrive – and take you back in time for your departing flight. There are several flights a day from Denver, Dallas and Houston.

Steamboat & the Clark, Colorado Area

The Home Ranch in Clark, Colorado, is located in Northwestern Colorado, in North Routt County, 18 miles north of Steamboat Springs, in what is referred to as the upper Elk River Valley.  Aside from a world-class ski resort, Steamboat boasts a western tradition you can see for yourself as you travel along the Elk River Road to The Home Ranch. Families still make a living ranching here and you can see herds of cattle and wide open spaces along the way. This is a community where preservation of the land and its rich heritage are high priorities.  In fact, he founders of The Home Ranch, Ann and Steve Stranahan,  introduced ranch preservation to the Elk River Valley, and many ranchers followed their example.

Our all inclusive Colorado ranch resort is located just above the tiny town of Clark which boasts its own country store.  Tall mountains surround the ranch and provide amazing views and direct access to National Forest.  Further North is the historic mining town of Hahns Peak and Steamboat Lake and Pearl Lake.  The neighboring Zirkel wilderness provides some of the best hiking and riding trails in the state of Colorado.  The elevation at the Home Ranch is about 7,000 feet rising to 12,180 feet at the peak of Mt. Zirkel, where the headwaters of the Elk River begin.
