Dear Friends,

March came in like a lion. Almost daily snow has us excited about one more month of great skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and just fun in the snow to offer to our guests.

We’ve enjoyed our busiest January and February period ever so it’s been a pleasure meeting our many new guests and greeting our loyal returnees.

The numerous sunny and unseasonably warm days has lent itself to much fun and enjoyment by all so far this winter. We’ve even been able to host weekly luncheons on the sunny deck of the Llamasary which has been a huge hit.

With each passing year we realize more and more how important our community is to us and to our success. We’ve celebrated that connection by hosting a Citizen’s Nordic Race in early January with over one Hundred participants; we opened our dining room to the locals for two special vintner weekends one of which was hosted by Drew Bledsoe ( former Superbowl  quarterback for the Patriots ) and Doubleback Wineries; and we donated our services by hosting a benefit dinner for the local volunteer fire department. As part of the Home Ranch Mission we will continue to embrace our special place in the Elk River Valley and try to give back to the local community, whether it might be having the Charter School  kids from across the road here for weekly skiing  or summer field trips to our Farm, or hosting numerous local agricultural groups to educate them on high-altitude horticulture.

Lastly, I would like to acknowledge our special staff that we’ve had here this Winter. They all exude the spirit that contributes to the guest’s memorable vacation. They all have been enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. Familiar names to many of you: Selina and Andrea in Guest Services, Captain Mike and Mark and the ski guides, Chef de Cuisine Craig and the Culinarians, Andy and the Dining Room staff, Maggie and her housekeeping team, Chad and Erik on maintenance and ski grooming and plowing, Adele and the Green Team, and Alec and the horse herd. We also have one new name that joined our team, and family, in Clark this fall as our new CFO, Kristi Foster.

I look forward to welcoming you to the Home Ranch this Year.

Best Wishes,
