Taking a Spring Break at The Home Ranch is a perfect idea for families that want to truly unwind, play in the snow, and still get all the sunshine a spring break vacation requires. Come springtime in Clark, Colorado we've still got snow on the ground, snow at Steamboat, bluebird skies, and all the Colorado sunshine you could want.
If you want to get in some spring skiing at Steamboat, we've got daily shuttles to and from the Steamboat ski area, in addition to our fully guided skate skiing, cross country skiing, backcountry skiing, and snowshoeing on the ranch.
If all those skiing options don't tempt you and your family, we've got horseback riding in the snow, sleigh rides, cooking classes with Chef Clyde, or the option of just relaxing and reading by the fire. Our staff can also help you arrange the exciting off-ranch activities of dogsledding, downhill skiing or snowmobiling. Whatever snowy activity your family can dream up, we can make it happen.
For the gourmet, the ranch is renowned for its cuisine, yet offers communal, family-style dining at our long ranch tables. Breakfast, lunch, and three-course dinners are always made from scratch with the freshest ingredients by The Home Ranch Chef, Clyde Nelson. Gourmet desserts follow every meal. Chef Clyde’s cuisine has been praised in Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and Gourmet Magazine, and the food alone is worth the trip.
The ranch offers 6 rooms in the main lodge and 8 private cabins. Each accommodation has been uniquely decorated by owner Ann Stranahan. Lodge rooms feature a king bed and proximity to the dining room and activities, while cabins offer private hot tubs and wood burning stoves.
Rates include all meals, ranch activities, equipment, lessons, guides and transportation to the Steamboat ski area and Hayden airport (HDN).
