Steamboat Springs — Dennis Lodwick offered a little race strategy at The Home Ranch on Sunday morning. Figuring that if anyone knows how to get the best of Lodwick’s son, Todd, in a cross-country ski race, it would be the old man, so I slipped Dennis a $5 bill and whipped out my reporter’s notebook, preparing to take detailed notes. “Start out slow, and then taper off,” Dennis whispered in my ear. A Break in the Storm

As I skied yesterday, I was trying to compose this post, but I couldn’t decide what to write about…it is no different this morning. So I apologize if my thoughts are all over the place. Panda ~ February 2011

Here is February’s Horse of the Month – Panda.  As you can see, Panda is a beautiful black and white Canadian Sport Horse.  She is a sister to Domino, who is now in Florida on the jumping circuit. FEBRUARY 2011 Salsa Verde Cruda (Roasted Tomatillo- Serrano Salsa) Yields:  2 ½ cups 1 pound (10-12) medium tomatillos, husked and rinsed 2-3 fresh Serranos 2 large garlic cloves, unpeeled 1 small white onion, minced ¼ cup loosely packed, roughly chopped cilantro Salt, about 1 generous teaspoon Sugar, about 1 teaspoon Share this:
